William (Bill) Ringo is an industry veteran with nearly 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. He currently serves as a senior advisor with Barclays Capital and is a strategic advisor with Sofinnova Ventures.
From 2008 to 2010, Bill served as senior vice president of strategy and business development for Pfizer. His experience in the global pharmaceutical sector also includes nearly 30 years with Eli Lilly and Company, where he served in numerous executive roles, including product group president for oncology and critical care, president of internal medicine products, and president of the infectious diseases business unit. He also was a member of the company's operating committee.
Bill serves on several boards of directors. He is chairman of Sangamo BioSciences, a board member for Mirati Therapeutics and Immune Design, as well as a strategic advisor to Ascendis Medical Technology and InCube Labs. From 1994 to 2002, he served as a board member and chairman for Community Health Systems. Bill earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a master of business administration degree from the University of Dayton.
